You’re on the line, about to throw your second dart of the match and it starts. The nervous shakes that make your hand jump all over the place. It’s like your hand is a rough idling engine. Now what do you do? You still have two darts in hand. Here’s an easy way to work through the shakes and throw like a champion.

Think positive thoughts. This sounds lame but it really works. Big time athletes use the power of positive association to become superstars. You should be using it too. Just imagine the last time you threw an incredible dart game – that triple you hit, a huge double out you nailed. And then envision your current dart landing exactly where you want it to land. Take a few deep breaths, step up to the line, concentrate on your number and throw with confidence!

Never give up. Always remember one thing - Never say never. Fight the good fight and you’ll never leave a match feeling let down. We all have bad outings – no one is perfect. But the great dart players do not go down easy. No matter how bad it looks, keep working and you’ll be amazed at how many opponents get caught looking in the rearview mirror at you instead of focusing on the game.
